Steve Jobs Returns to Work.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs returned to work. Apple employees report that the Chief Executive returned to work on Monday. CNBCò€™s Jim Goldman reports that, while officials at Apple have yet to respond to multiple phone calls and emails, employees have confirmed that Steve Jobs has been seen on campus at the companyò€™s Cupertino headquarters, suggesting that he is at work. Employee confirmations aside, this isnò€™t the first time people have spotted Steve on campus (or even just his car in the parking lot) so we donò€™t yet know if this marks his official return to work, which is schedule for the end of this month. The news follows reports that Jobs had a liver transplant. The Wall Street Journal ran an article over the weekend claiming that the CEO, who has been on medical leave for the last six months, had a liver transplant in Tennessee about two months ago. The report added that he is recovering well and is expected to return to work on schedule. Apple spokeswoman did not comment on the report (in which the Wall Street Journal cited no sources) except to say, "Steve continues to look forward to returning at the end of June, and there"s nothing further to say." Appleò€™s silence regarding the rumors of both Jobsò€™ transplant and his return to work will likely only anger shareholders who think the company is purposely withholding information about the CEOò€™s health even further.
