Seiko Epson: Global market for wide-format printing to grow 8-10%.

Global market demand for wide-format printing will keep growing by 8-10% annually for the next three to five years, said general manager Takashi Miyasaka of the Inkjet Printer & Photo Marketing Department of Seiko Epson. Between Epson and Hewlett-Packard (HP), the top-two brands for wide-format printers, Epson has a larger market share for applications requiring high print quality such as digital direct color proofs, while HP has a larger share for applications which require high speed printing for volume production, according to Miyasaka.
