Sapphire delivers CrossFire RD580 series motherboards.

Sapphire Technology has announced two new models for its Pure CrossFire series offering 16x performance on both PCI Express (PCIe) slots in a dual GPU system. The Pure CrossFire PC-A9RD580 motherboard is based on the latest ATI Technologies CrossFire Xpress 3200 chipset and SB450 southbridge, and it combines support for the AMD Athlon64, FX and dual core processors, the company said.

San Francisco (CA) - Graphics drivers developed for Vista, Microsoft"s next generation operating system, will be far more stable than their Windows XP-based counterparts, and not crash the operating system anymore, an executive of graphics chip developer ATI told Tom"s Hardware Guide .

AMD Updates Desktop CPU Launch Schedule.
AMD is planning to launch B3 stepping quad-core Phenom 9050 series CPUs including 9850, 9750, 9650, 9550 and 9150 within the next 1-2 weeks, however the top-end 9850 will only reach a core frequency of 2.5 GHz, instead of the original goal of 2.6 GHz.
