SDRAM prices to increase in Q2, says Etron.

Prices for SDRAM are expected to rise in the second quarter of this year as current supply cannot satisfy increased demand coming from handset, LCD TV and memory card applications, according to Nicky Lu, CEO and president of SDRAM specialist Etron Technology. Etron is negotiating with its clients to hike contract prices for the second quarter, with new prices set to become available this month, Lu said.
