MS June update fixes dangerous Word flaw.

Microsoft has released a bumper batches of 12 security updates - eight of them critical - as part of its regular Patch Tuesday update cycle. The security patches address various critical vulnerabilities involving Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer, Media Player, Word, and PowerPoint that create a means for hackers to compromise vulnerable systems, run malicious code, or crash Windows PCs.

Biostar unveils Nvidia nForce 500 series motherboards for AM2 platform.
Biostar Microtech on May 23 introduced its new T-series motherboards supporting AMD"s AM2 platform and nForce 500 series chipsets, the TForce 590 SLI Deluxe and TForce 570 U Deluxe. The TForce 590 SLI Deluxe with the Nvidia nForce 590 SLI chipset belongs to the enthusiast motherboard segment, and features Nvidia technology like SLI(2x16), Linkboost and DualNet.

Lite-On IT said to ship 18x LightScribe DVD burners to HP in November.
While Lite-On IT is expected to start shipping 18x DVD burners to Hewlett-Packard (HP) this month, the growing tension in competition between Lite-On IT, Hitachi-LG Data Storage (HLDS) and Toshiba-Samsung Storage Technology (TSST) facilitated OEM prices to further drop, according to sources at Taiwan-based optical disk drive (ODD) makers. The sources detailed that this month, Lite-On IT starts shipping internal (940i) and external (model 940e) models of 18x DVD burners to HP.
