LCD panel prices to continue falling in H2 Feb, says WitsView.

Price-reduction pressure will persist in the second half of February and buyers are still waiting for further price drops, according to WitsView Technology. Although panel makers have lowered their production utilization rates and are operating on a built-to-order basis, the large-size panel market remains in a downturn.

ATI likely to delay 80 nm production at TSMC until 2007.
With Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) not being able to improve yield rates on its 80nm manufacturing process, ATI Technologies will forego manufacturing its graphics chips on 80 nm node this year, according to industry sources.
