Intel to cut Celeron D prices in February 2005.

Intel plans to cut the prices of its 90nm Celeron D CPUs on February 20, 2005, while keeping the prices of its Pentium 4 CPU lineup unchanged early next year, according to sources at Taiwan motherboard makers. The Celeron D 320, currently priced at US$69, which runs at 2.4 GHz, will see no price change in early 2005 as Intel plans to gradually phase out this model, the sources noted.

Rainbow Versatile Disc - storage for 450 GB.
Chicago (IL) - Sainul Abideen from India claims to have found a new way of storing massive amounts on data. Abideen, who recently graduated from the Muslim Educational Society Engineering College, said that his "Rainbow Technology" enables data to be stored on paper or plastic surfaces. Storage media, which he calls Rainbow Versatile Disc or RVD, could exceed the storage densities of Blu-ray or HD DVD media and reach 90 to 450 GB, Arab News reports.
