Corning moves to produce LCD glass substrates in China.

Corning on February 1 announced that its board of directors has approved funding for the establishment of an LCD glass facility to be located in China. Corning claims to be the first TFT-LCD glass substrate supplier to announce a production facility in China, though the company has not yet decided on a location for the facility and no details of investment amounts were released.
