Asustek G965-based motherboards with Shader Model 3.0 support expected later.

Products utilizing Intel"s G965 Express chipset with Shader Model 3.0 support are not among Asustek Computer"s current motherboard offerings, though the company released its ASUS P5B-V series in August, featuring the Intel Core 2 processor/G965 chipset platform without Shader Model 3.0, sources indicated. The sources said that G965-based motherboards from Asustek suporting Shader Model 3.0 are expected later and that sales of the P5B-V have been poor so far.

MIT researchers developing a quarter-sized turbine engine.
MIT researchers have started putting entire gas-turbine engines on tiny silicon chips. With the help of some military funding, researchers have fashioned millimeter-sized compressors, combustion chambers and turbines and placed them on layers of silicon wafers. The new engines promise to run more than 10 times longer than batteries of the same weigh and could help lighten the load for future soldiers.
