We"ve been eagerly anticipating the Asus Eee Keyboard ever since we first saw it at CES earlier this year. We thought that we"d have in our hands by now, but the latest word is that it"ll be hitting in August.
French tech site Blogeee managed to obtain an early sample of the Eee Keyboard and has put it through its paces, including a rather full examination of its internals.
Like most netbooks, the Asus Eee Keyboard features the rather modest Intel GMA950 graphics, which isn"t capable of decoding high-definition video streams that the device promises to output. Instead, a chip from Silicon Image does the job of decoding the video and sending it out via HDMI.
