40" LCD TV segment making more of a mark than 37" segment.

Sales of 40" LCD TVs in North America were better than expected during the year-end holiday season, with related shipments beating out those for the 37" segment, according to a survey conducted by DisplaySearch. Sony"s 40" Bravia LCD TV (KDLV40XBR1) was the fourth best selling LCD TV model on the market in terms of sales volume, while one of Samsung Electronics" 40" models ranked sixteenth at the end of 2005, the research firm pointed out.
